AOS is a great place to work. Our company is a well-knit team of highly qualified, experienced specialists covering a range of skill-sets. We’re working together to advance our exciting vision for environmentally responsible and sustainable underground oil sands development that’s designed to be a good neighbour to our local community.
The AOS team represents all the technical skill-sets you’d expect in an oil sands company – engineering, project management, geology, geophysics and resource evaluation – as well as finance and accounting, stakeholder engagement, senior executive leadership and administrative support. In addition we have engaged a number of reputable technical firms to ensure top-notch work in the specialized areas needed for designing, planning and executing an oil sands project.
As an entrepreneurial, smaller-sized and relatively early-stage company that’s currently awaiting regulatory approval for our first project, we are doing a limited amount of hiring right now. Once our Clearwater Phase I project is approved, which we expect to happen by the end of 2011, we will be increasing our human resources, including building up a field operating team and adding to our head office technical capabilities. We will be hiring locally as much as possible to staff locally-based field roles.
