Protecting Air Quality

The nature of the Clearwater Project as well as the advanced technologies we’re applying will protect the air quality at the project – and for all our neighbours. The low-pressure steam design means lower emissions relative to the amount of bitumen we produce. Technology features will virtually eliminate the usual water vapour plume and reduce odours to within government levels at the edge of our lease site. Please click here and here to learn more.

In addition, AOS has committed to continuously reporting the makeup of its air emissions. The results will be fed to the Wood Buffalo Environmental Association (WBEA) website and posted on a dedicated page on our website.
