Aesthetic Values and Ecosystem

The Clearwater Project’s low-pressure SAGD design and small overall size mean minimum overall impact and maximum protection of the ecosystem and aesthetic values. Using a SAGD model means no tailings ponds – a huge plus in every respect. We will have a small catchment basin for storm water runoff – that means natural rainwater and snowmelt, nothing from the underground reservoir.

We will maintain trees and foliage between the major roadways and the SAGD plant to minimize the visual impact from Hwy. 69 and the municipal road east of the plant. Our building exteriors will be designed to complement the commercial airport surroundings.
